Fisker Automotive to buy a former GM assembly plant

Fisker Automotive has decided to buy a former GM assembly plant in the eastern state of Delaware where it will build its Nina plug-in electric car starting 2012. Fisker reportedly intends to roll out 100,000 Nina EVs annually in the US . Each car is estimated to be priced at US$47,000.The big announcement is set to be made on Tuesday at the Wilmington plant. Nissan’s luxury brand, Infiniti, will launch a new small electric car to rival the Audi A3 and Bmw 1-Series. This is Mitsubishi’s i-MiEV Cargo that is currently on display at the Tokyo Motor Show. Skoda has several projects it is considering in order for Volkswagen to be the number one manufacturer by 2018.
